The Dedham High boys soccer team will open the postseason on Saturday (6 p.m.) against Scituate in a Division 2 South preliminary round game. The Marauders are the No. 17 seed entering with a 6-11-1 record, qualifying via the Sullivan Rule. Scituate, which plays in the Patriot League, is No. 16 with a 7-7-4 record. The winner will earn a trip to top-seeded Sandwich (14-1-3) on Monday.
The girls lost out on a coin flip with Cardinal Spellman, sending them down to the No. 6 seed in the Division 2 South tournament despite a 15-2-1 record. The Marauders are slated to open the playoffs against No. 11 Sandwich on Saturday (6 p.m.) at Rustcraft Road.
