Freshman Mack Farrell scored both goals, including the game-winner in the 71st minute as the Dedham High boys soccer team earned a key division win with in 2-1 decision over Wellesley Friday. The Marauders improve to 6-3-1 overall and 5-3-1 in the Bay State Conference.
Mike McFarland had a good cross to the top of the box to Brian Boggie, who settled for Farrell to finish. Farrell had given Dedham a lead in the 20th finishing off a Rory O’Hanlon corner kick.
The Mustangs (1-10-1, 0-9-1) claimed their first point in BSC play with a draw against visiting Milton Friday.
The Rebels built a 2-0 lead on goals from David Hoag and Mike Quintanilla and held on against the Red and Blue to improve to Herget Division-leading 6-2-1 on the season.
Omar Hadzipasic scored 24 seconds into the game and the Wolverines made it stand up as they snapped a six-game winless skid with a victory in Ashland. Westwood (4-5-2) controlled play throughout as goalkeeper James Laughlin did not need to make a save for his third shutout of the season.
The Hawks scored in the opening minute and then added a pair of late insurance goals to earn the road shutout Saturday. Robbie Stack, Greg Stokinger and Dan Birely all scored for Xaverian, which stayed unbeaten at 5-0-2.
The Bulldogs fell out of the Independent School League lead with a draw on Saturday, dropping to 3-1-1. Chris McDonald registered the shutout in net for Nobles.
After starting the year unbeaten in its first eight, the Mustangs dropped their second straight under the lights in Milton Friday night.
The Wildcats broke a scoreless tie midway through the second then put it away with five minutes left. At 7-2-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the Bay State Conference, Norwood remains in the Herget Division lead, a point ahead of Wellesley with a game in hand.
Patrice Vettori’s goal in the 31st minute made it a 1-1 game headed into the half, but the Raiders struck two minutes into the second half to send the Marauders to 2-4-2 on the season.

Chelsea Landon notched a hat trick as the Bulldogs stayed unbeaten on the year at 3-0 Saturday. Emily Wingrove set up two of the goals and Alex Conigliaro the other for Nobles, which enjoyed a 36-0 shot advantage.
Taylor Silvestro struck for a hat trick in the first half as the Porkers moved to a perfect 10-0 on the season. Susan Conroy and Kate Lavelle each had a goal and an assist, Amanda Waldron and Jen Walsh added scores while Liz Malone had three helpers.
The Mustangs scored six minutes in but the Wildcats tallied the next three goals to drop the Mustangs to 4-5-1 on the season. Kim Clougher got Norwood on the board early and Gina Mancini but the edge to one with two minute left but it was not enough.
The Marauders suffered the same the fate as their first meeting against the Raiders, dropping to 5-3-1 on the season with a shutout loss under the temporary lights at Stone Park Friday evening.
The Wolverines dropped their fourth straight Friday to drop back to .500 on the season at 5-5. The shutout by the Clockers was Westwood third straight contest without a goal.
The Mustangs won eight of the 12 events but could not match the Rockets’ depth in falling to 3-2 on the year. Natalie and Emily Metta and Juliana Cirillo swept their individual events as well helping Norwood to a pair of relay wins.
Sophomore Jill Lawler had a strong all-around game with four kills, four aces and a pair of blocks as the Bears swept the host Tigers 25-18, 26-24, 25-19. Kelsi Clement and Vicki Robertson each had six kills for Ursuline, now 10-0.
