In a game that Milton needed to have, the Marauders managed to take them into the third period scoreless, but the Wildcats scored four times to take the 4-0 win on Tuesday. Dedham falls to 4-14 overall and 2-13 in the Bay State Conference with three regular season games remaining.

The hosts grabbed the lead 51 seconds into the period on a rebound and added a second at 5:36. The Wildcats scored twice in the final 4:35 to break it open.

Jake Wood played well in his first start in goal for the Marauders, making 20 saves.

The Marauders had a number of chances to get on the board first as Paul Leahy and John Fitzgerald had good chances in the first period and Tommy McCarthy hit the post in the second.

Last Wednesday, the opening 10:04 of the second period proved to be Dedham’s downfall as it allowed five goals in the span, losing 7-2 to Walpole.

Ronnie Pucci and Joe McDonagh scored power-play goals for the Marauders. John MacDonald had two goals and two assists for Walpole.
