The Marauders were blanked 9-0 by Norwood on Saturday and fell 7-1 to Framingham Wednesday despite a solid start.

Justin Nee had the lone Dedham goal over the course of the two contests with an end-to-end rush 45 seconds into the second period against Framingham that tied the game at 1-all. The Flyers regrouped and opened up a 5-1 lead by the end of the period.

The lopsided score put a damper on a strong first period in which Dedham had the better of play according to Marauders coach Paul Podolski, who had his squad with an 8-7 edge in shots in the first 15 minutes.

On Saturday, Norwood scored three times 2:18 apart to take a 3-0 lead with 8:00 remaining in the opening period. The Mustangs tacked on another later in the period and then entered the third with a 6-0 cushion. Peter Kelly had a goal and five assists in the victory.

Jimmy Riley stopped 31 of 40 shots in the contest while the Marauders only mustered 15 of their own.

WRESTLING

The Marauders broke into the win column Saturday as part of a five-team meet in Northbridge, going 3-1, defeating Bristol-Plymouth (51-30), Bellingham (42-36) and host Northbridge (45-33) while falling to Toll Gate (RI) (47-36).

Nick Romig, Stevie Heaslip and Ricky Bruneau all were a perfect 4-0 on the day while Joe Amponson was 3-0.

“It was a good day overall, we had four undefeated wrestlers, and some of these guys did a great job including Gage Morse, who won the last match against Northbridge for us, and Ricky Bruneau, who was very solid all day,” said Dedham coach Pete Connery.
