Police arrested a 19-year-old Boston man after he threw his pregnant ex-girlfriend to the ground near the Super Stop & Shop on Providence Highway on Monday, said Lt. Robert Nedder.
The National Planning Corporation has agreed to make restitution of more than $3.6 million, plus 6 percent interest, to Massachusetts investors who were sold highly speculative and unregistered promissory notes by a Plymouth man who was an agent of the corporation at the time, Secretary of State William F. Galvin said Tuesday.

A shopping spree with a stolen credit card ended in three arrests on Monday, Oct. 26, police said. According to police, a threesome found a student’s wallet on the commuter rail and decided charge $888 to the Visa credit card issued by the bank of China inside. Police said the purchases were made at City Sports, the Gap and Levi Strauss & Co. at Legacy Place.

Special Town Meeting gave the Avery School and Dedham High School athletic complex projects key votes of support, upped Dedham’s meals and hotel taxes and voted to move the town’s adult zoning to Legacy Place this week.
At an otherwise smooth mini-Town Meeting, two Finance Committee members renewed their disagreement about possible hike to hotel and meals taxes, with Derek Moulton questioning how the money would be used if devoted to a major capital facilities stabilization fund.
