Police arrest Dedham men for drug trafficking

DEDHAM —
Police said they busted three Dedham men last night for Class A trafficking and conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws, recovering upwards of 100 Oxycodone tablets – the culmination of a lengthy investigation into the sale and distribution of prescription narcotics in Dedham and West Roxbury.

Two drivers were taken to hospitals with possible injuries after a Chevrolet Astro van was struck by a Chevy Silverado pickup truck, causing the Astro to spin into a Honda Odyssey minivan, police said.

A speeding motorbiker tried to pull a fast one on police – pulling over to the side of the road, then taking off again as a detective stepped out of his car – before he was eventually apprehended and arrested yesterday, police said.

A suit-and-tie-wearing man attempted to rob the Dedham Square Citizens Bank with a pellet gun Tuesday, police say, but was foiled by a bank manager who alerted a Norwood colleague via text message.
