DEDHAM —

I would like to thank Congressman Stephen Lynch for his “nay” vote Sept. 30. Your courage needs to be commended for standing up against the tide for the rush to action. We did this before with the vote for war. May no one question your patriotism or pressure you with party penalties for your stand for the everyday working people.

We have been spoon-fed for too long the sweet taste of easy credit to mask the bitter aftertaste of hidden penalties. Why should the American people buy the bad or poisonous loans that no financial institution will touch? We need more time for review, a concept that the American people have been lead to believe is old fashioned.

The same people who preached the philosophy of deregulation of governmental control over the free market and easy credit are now asking the government to save their failed philosophy. Hypocrites!

Just imagine if these same people privatized social security.
