The Daily News Transcript recently reported that the Norwood School Committee and the Board of Selectmen will meet to fill the School Committee vacancy left by the resignation of Chris Morrison.
Let’s hope that they will be guided in their decision-making by the vote of the people in April, who said loudly and clearly that David Ford should be on the board. He received the most votes and should be the next in line.
In the absence of a compelling reason to keep this fine gentleman off the board, the decision should be a no-brainer. Mr. Ford has the experience, he has children in Norwood schools, and he has the trust of a large segment of our community who came out in large numbers to vote for him.
