On behalf of the Dedham Council on Aging and the Dedham seniors, we would like to thank the many people who took part in making the 33rd Anniversary of the USS Jacob Jones Post VFW 2017 Annual Senior Luncheon an enjoyable and memorable event.
We would like to thank Post Commander Michael Figlioli and Immediate Past Post Commander Carmen Dello Iacono Sr. for hosting the event. A special “thank you” to Norfolk County Commissioner Francis “Fran” O’Brien and Governor’s Council Kelly Timilty for once again providing the delicious pizza to all of the guest.
As always it is an honor and pleasure to have State Representative Paul McMurtry attend any and all Dedham senior events.
A very grateful thank you to the following: Chuck Dello Iacono from Chuck Wagon Catering Service, for his culinary expertise; Gail “Tra La La,” for the nostalgic music selections; the Westwood Dollar Store, for donating door prizes; and the anonymous special friend of the Dedham senior citizens, for donating a gas grill to raffle.
The luncheon would not have been complete without the many volunteers who assisted with serving the meal, which included Selectmen Jim MacDonald, Past Commander Frank Curran, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Dedham.
The generosity and thoughtfulness of all who contributed to such a special day was so greatly appreciated.
