To the Editor:

From our new location, the Dedham Food Pantry wishes to thank all the individuals, community groups, and businesses that so generously donated time, service or goods to help us prepare and move into our new space at 600 Washington St. We had dozens of volunteers who arrived and worked anonymously. You know who you are, and we are truly grateful.

Thank you to St. John’s United Methodist Church, the first and only home of Dedham Food Pantry for close to 20 years. The pantry wants the folks at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, the Church of the Good Shepherd, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, as well as those at First Church, to know how much we appreciate your offers to make room for us when we needed a place to go.

We thank Representative Paul McMurtry for his support in the search process. And a giant thank you goes to Federal Realty Investment Trust for donating our fantastic new space.

The Dedham Food Pantry has been working to meet one of the most basic of human needs for almost 20 years. An organization staffed by volunteers, we rely on the charitable support of our local community. Our motto is “Neighbors helping neighbors.”

It is through the generosity of people and organizations like those below that we are able to help our less fortunate neighbors. We could not meet the needs of these families without gifts of goods, services and money. On behalf of our clients please know how much the pantry appreciates the kindness of our ever-growing community of supporters: E.A. Spry & Co., Unitrans Worldwide, Inc, Mark Downey Trucking
Stop & Shop, C&T Paint, Kerrigan Realty – Painter, Griffin Fire and Safety, Superior Plumbing, Kevin Looney Electric, Hargreaves Sign, Panera Bread, Domino’s Pizza, Legal Seafood, Dunkin’ Donuts, A Tent for Rent, Knights of Columbus, Boy and Girl Scouts, and all of the churches in town

Gratefully,

Board of Trustees, Dedham Food Pantry
