Casey’s 5K Road Race was held on June 28 and it was a tremendous success. The weather was beautiful, and the participation overwhelming.
The first place finisher of the race was Matt Henry from Franklin with a time of 19:17, and the first female finisher was Lisa Davenport of Norwood with a time of 19:23.
We would like to thank Kevin and Brenda Sweeney and Jim and Laurie Henry, the organizers of the race, for their incredible kindness and hard work. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all the runners, walkers and volunteers who came out that day to show support for Casey and our family, and thank you to all who were not able to be there on June 28 but donated to The Casey Marsh Fund.
Thank you also to Fr. John Culloty and the staff at St. Timothy Parish for hosting the road race, and for all their efforts.
