Monday, Jan. 23

Theft: At 10:08 a.m., police received a report of theft from a Legacy Place business. The theft was of $160, according to dispatcher reports.

 

Theft from a vehicle: At 11:33 a.m., police received a report of theft from a vehicle on O’Brien Way. The theft took place sometime between Saturday, Jan. 21 and Monday, Jan. 23, according to police reports. A pocket book and medication were reported missing, according to dispatcher reports.

 

Tuesday, Jan. 24

Theft: At 2:19 p.m., police received a report of a past theft from Dick’s Sporting Goods on Providence Highway.

 

Credit card fraud: At 3:09 p.m., police received a report from Legacy Place of credit card fraud.

 

Arrest: At 5:22 p.m., police arrested David Kenney, 41, of Dedham, and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Kenney was accused of pushing down his neighbor and biting him in the arm, according to dispatcher reports.

 

Credit card fraud: At 8:04 p.m., police received a report of credit card fraud from a Whiting Avenue resident. The credit card was used for $5,000 vacation tickets, according to dispatcher reports.

 

Arrest: At 10:15 p.m., police arrested Bella L. Cambria, 55, of Dedham and charged her with intimidating a witness, drug possession and domestic assault and battery.

 

Arrest: At 10: 41 p.m., police arrested John M. Wilson, 47, of Dedham on four warrants.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 25

Theft: At 11:38 p.m., police received a report of theft from High Street. Electric wire worth about $3,000 was stolen, according to dispatcher reports.

 

Arrest: At 4:54 p.m., police arrested Michael P. Kachele, 31, and charged him with trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

 

Thursday, Jan. 26

Theft: At 9:57 a.m., police received a report of two shoplifters who took two carpets from the front of a Bridge Street business. The two returned upon an officer’s arrival to pay for them and stated they thought the carpets were free, according to dispatcher reports.

 

Threats: At 11:04 a.m., police received a report of threats at Dedham District Court on High Street. The person reported being threatened by a defense attorney, according to dispatcher reports.

 

Attempted theft: At 1:26 p.m., police received a report of an attempted theft on Wentworth Street. A resident said he received calls from people stating they wanted to fix his computer and charge him for it over the phone.

 

Theft: At 4:23 p.m., police received a report of theft from an Evergreen Way resident. The resident said two sets of earrings were stolen from her room, according to dispatcher reports.

Arrest: At 8:16 p.m., police arrested Anthony S. Saunders, 40, of Roslindale, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

 

Friday, Jan. 27

Threats: At 3:37 p.m., police received a report of threats from a Station Circle resident.

 

Arrests: At 4:29 p.m., police arrested Michelle C. Coe, 41, of Roslindale and Thomas M. O’Sullivan, 55, of Roslindale and charged them with larceny over $250. The pair placed $322.32 worth of merchandise in a large bag and O’Sullivan left the store with these items and was stopped and brought back inside the store, according to police reports.

 

Arrest: At 5:56 p.m., police arrested a juvenile and charged the juvenile with assault with a deadly weapon and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

 

Saturday, Jan. 28

Assault: At 10:55 a.m., police received a report from the East Dedham Fire Station that a man had been stabbed and walked in for help. The stab wound was about 3 to 4 inches long and just above the waist, according to police reports. The man said his girlfriend stabbed him during a dispute at her apartment in Hyde Park, according to Dedham Patrol Officer James Lemanski. Boston police were notified and arrested the girlfriend on Veterans Road in Dedham, according to Lemanski.

 

Stolen vehicle: At noon, police received a report of a stolen vehicle from a Greenhood Street resident. The resident reported that he hadn’t seen the vehicle, a 2007 Honda Civic coupe, in more than a month, according to police reports. When asked why he had waited a month to report the car missing, the resident replied he thought his cousin had the vehicle. When he talked to his cousin, he learned his cousin did not have the vehicle, according to police reports.

 

Assault: At 4:02 p.m., police received a report of assault on Providence Highway. The person said another woman punched her in the back over a dispute related to a loading zone, according to police reports. No one witness the physical assault, according to police reports.

 

Sunday, Jan. 29

Accident: At 1:20 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Providence Highway. No citations were issued, but one person was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton.

 

Arrest: At 1:49 p.m., police arrested Naman Jain, 29, of Norwood and charged him with three red light violations, failure to stop for police and operating to endanger.

 

Accident: At 3:10 p.m., police responded to an accident at Legacy Place involving a car and a golf cart. The operator of the car accidentally pulled into a handicapped spot; when she realized her error, she backed out of the space and into a security officer driving a golf cart, according to police reports. The security officer complained of arm pains but did not want medical attention. Neither vehicle sustained damage.

 

Credit card fraud: At 3:23 p.m., police received a report of credit card fraud at Legacy Place.

 

Theft: At 7:53 p.m., police received a report of theft from a Cedar Street resident. The resident reported two checks and $20 missing, according to dispatcher reports.

 

Theft:At 8:56 p.m., police received a report of theft from a Bussey Street resident. The resident reported an iPod Touch was stolen, according to police reports.
