With the recent appearance at Dedham Square Circle’s annual holiday stroll under his belt, Santa returned north to prepare for what looks to be his busiest day of the year. Luckily, the Dedham Transcript got a chance to interview the Jolly Old Elf, on a gauntlet of topics from singing in Dedham to climate change.
Q: What’s your Christmas wish for Dedham this year?
A: Peace, love and understanding.
Q: What was your favorite carol that you sang with the children at this year’s Dedham Square Circle Holiday Stroll?
A: “Joy to the World.”
Q: Are you encouraging kids to ask for less expensive gifts in these lean economic times?
A: No, but what an interesting question.
Q: Are your cheeks naturally rosy?
A: Yes. I am free-range and organic.
Q: Do you prefer regular milk, two percent, or molasses milk?
A: Really...Whole fresh, non-pasteurized, non-homogenized, straight from the cow (but chilled) goodness.
Q: Who is your favorite reindeer?
A: Come now. All my reindeer are wonderful.
Q: Did you invent frequent flier miles?
A: Frequent flier miles? What are they? Do you have frequent driver miles?
Q: With more northern ice melting each summer, how is your property at the North Pole holding up?
A: Life is a cycle. Nature knows the cycle. If man cleans up his act, all will be well. And I have faith in man.
