Norwood Police and the FBI are looking for a man they believe robbed Norwood Bank early this afternoon, according to Norwood Police Spokesman Paul Bishop.

Bishop said a man walked into the Central Street bank at about 1 p.m., handed the teller a note asking for an undisclosed amount of money, and left the building headed in an unknown direction.

No weapon was used, said Bishop, and no one was harmed in the robbery.

Police say they are looking for a white male, age 30 to 35, who weighs between 200 and 225 pounds, and is 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall.

He has short brown hair and a moustache, Bishop said.

At the time of the incident, Bishop said, the suspect wore sunglasses, an olive green shirt with a logo of a train, and nylon Adidas jogging pants with red and white stripes down the side.

The police are working with very good photos and video, Bishop said. They are also currently speaking to several witnesses who were in the bank at that time and the teller to whom the suspect gave the note.
