Arrest: At 6:14 p.m., police arrested Kristopher M. Dente, 20, of Natick and charged him with two counts of larceny over $250 and one count of resisting arrest. Dedham Officer Richard Cawley wrote in a report that he was called to Sears in the Dedham Mall, where he had received a report that someone was in the electronics department opening boxes with a knife. Dente started to run when he saw police, according to Cawley’s report. After placing Dente in handcuffs, police found a razor in his pocket, Cawley wrote. The items taken were several video games and system controllers valued at $320.
Tuesday, Jan. 31
Arrest: At 11:05 a.m., police arrested Frank G. Leonard Jr., 27, of Dedham and charged him with two counts of assault and battery.
Accident: At 8:53 p.m., police responded to a three-car accident on Providence Highway involving a blue 2003 Mercury Mountaineer, a brown 1995 Honda Accord and a black 2012 Chrysler 300 Series. The drivers of the Mercury and Honda were stopped in traffic when they were rear ended by the driver of the Chrysler, according to police reports. The driver of the Chrysler, when asked what happened, stated, “It’s my fault; I wasn’t paying attention and drove right into them,” according to police reports. Two people were taken to Norwood Hospital with injuries, according to police reports.
Wednesday, Feb. 1
Fire: At 6:54 a.m., police assisted firefighters at a working fire at 271 East St. The fire sent two people to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. The American Red Cross assisted one family of three as a result of the fire, according to Red Cross spokeswoman Kat Powers.
Fight: At 8:56 p.m., police received a report of a fight in progress on Sprague Street. When police arrived, one person was being attended to by emergency medical services responders, according to a police report by Officer Timothy Miranda. The person had been asked to leave a bar and refused, then was taken out of the establishment by three other patrons, according to the report. Outside, the person either fell down or was hit, according to the report. There were no reported witnesses except the other people who were involved, and they left before police arrived, according to the report.

Arrest: At 11:46 a.m., police arrested Jalysa Belmer, 23, of Dorchester and charged her with receiving a stolen vehicle. Officer James Lemanski pulled Belmer over and made the arrest, according to his incident report. Belmer initially said the car was hers, but then said it belonged to someone else she knew,” according to the report.

Theft: At 10:35 a.m., police received a report of theft from a Stergis Way business. Money was missing from a cash drawer, according to police reports.
Threats: At 4:26 p.m., police received a report of threats at Dunkin’ Donuts on Providence Highway. A manager reported receiving threats from a terminated employee, according to dispatcher reports.
Malicious damage: At 8:09 p.m., police received a report of a person kicking a car on Milton Street.
Theft: At 10:11 p.m., a representative from Bill and Mike’s Automotive on Bridge Street reported a customer leaving without paying for service.
Saturday, Feb. 4
False prescription: At 12:09 p.m., police received a report of a false prescription presented at a Providence Highway pharmacy.
Arrests: At 1:10 p.m., police arrested Gloria Gaston, 20, of Roslindale and Joann Smith, 68, of Roslindale and charged them each with larceny over $250. The two went through self-checkout aisles at Stop & Shop on Providence Highway and only scanned $30 of items, according to a police report. Gaston had not scanned $390 worth of groceries and Smith had not scanned $260 worth of groceries, according to police reports.
Arrest: At 6:59 p.m., police arrested Louis Frazier Jr., 40, of Hyde Park and charged him with driving with a suspended registration.
Sunday, Feb. 5
Forgery: At 11:39 a.m., police received a report of a stolen check. A person reported that her mailbox was damaged on Oct. 22 and that she believed someone stole a check from inside. On Oct. 23, the check had been deposited into an account. Upon further investigation, it appeared that the check had been forged, according to police reports.
Stolen vehicle: At 11:50 a.m., police received a report from a Curve Street resident that her husband had taken her car without her permission and would not give it back. The husband has had his license revoked, according to police. The husband returned the vehicle later that day, according to dispatcher reports.
Theft: At 1:29 p.m., police received a report that an iTouch was taken from a locker on Whiting Avenue.
Arrest: At 5:02 p.m., police arrested Michael J. Hadayia, 44, of Worcester and charged him with violating an abuse prevention order.
