It’s hard to believe Labor Day has come and gone, marking the unofficial end to summer! Now that folks are back from their summer excursions and the kids are back in school, people are getting back into their old routines. It’s been great to see so many familiar faces back in the Square! There’s lots in store for fun events and activities in the Square this fall. Read on!
Fall Back – Head to the Square on Friday, Sept. 24, for our “Fall Back into the Square” night. Dedham Square merchants will stay open late to offer special sales, promotions, raffles and treats. Enjoy live music and treat yourself to one of the specials at a Square eatery all the while helping to support our local businesses. Stay tuned for more details!
Weekly Harvest - Whether you’re craving freshly caught seafood, locally grown produce, fresh baked bread, homemade pasta, jams and jellies, or locally made cheeses and spreads, head on over to the Dedham Square Circle’s Dedham Farmers Market to get your fix! Just picked produce includes loads of apples, melons, peppers, squash, sweet corn, tomatoes, potatoes and so much more!
Save the Date! - The annual Dedham Square Circle fall gala will be held on the evening of Saturday, Nov. 6. A guaranteed good time for a great cause! More information to come in the next Scoop.
Nuptials News – Congratulations and best wishes to chairwoman of the Board of Selectmen, Sarah MacDonald and Sean Browne who recently tied the knot, as well as to “Creative Adventures” founder and director, Marianne Ryan and her longtime partner, Fred Bowen, on their recent nuptials! Congrats are also in order to Deli After Dark proprietor Matt Cawley who was recently engaged to Oakdale School teacher Stacey Scanlon!
Welcome Wagon – Hats off to Dedhamites Jennifer Barsamian and Monika Wilkinson for spearheading a new “Welcome Wagon” effort in town. The dynamic duo have been busy making personal visits to the homes of new residents to offer them a warm welcome, share information about all that Dedham has to offer and leave them with fresh cut flowers from Dedham Flower Shoppe, a basket full of menus from local eateries and special coupons and samples from local businesses. Their efforts are being sponsored by Donahue Real Estateand Needham Bank.

Sign Me Up! - The Dedham Community House is now accepting registrations for its fall programs. Offerings include past favorites such as Zumba, Pilates, preschool sports, babysitting, dance and music, and new programs such as chess!
