State environmental police are investigating reports of a black bear spotting in Dedham around 9 a.m. on Sunday, June 24, according to our news partners at WCVB.
Reginald Zimmerman, spokesman for the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, said police received several calls from people seeing the bear in the woods along Route 109 at about 9 a.m.
Environmental officers were not able to locate the bear and it was unclear which direction it went.
