Police said they arrested Flaviana Soares de Faria, 30, of 1120 Washington St. Apt. 2 in Norwood, on Saturday, Feb. 27, for charges of driving without a license.

Lt. Robert Nedder said Officer James Lemanski was heading south on the highway at about 8:40 p.m. when he saw a blue 2000 Ford Focus, also going south, that only had its front headlight working. He pulled the car over and spoke with de Faria, who said she did not have a driver’s license and handed Lemanski a passport, Nedder said.

Lemanski arrested her on the license charge, and on a Dedham District Court warrant charging him with driving without a license, and gave her a civil infraction for a motor vehicle lights violation, Nedder said.

She was due to be arraigned in Dedham on March 1, but a judge continued the arraignment until March 8, so an interpreter could be present, Nedder added.
