Police said they arrested Laura Cameron, 24, of Franklin Street in Quincy, on charges of domestic assault and battery after an incident at a house on Mount Vernon Street in Dedham on Saturday, Aug. 7.

Police responded there at 8:59 p.m., with a mother and daughter each saying the other had assaulted her, Lt. Robert Nedder said. After a young child said the daughter had struck the mother, police arrested Cameron, he said. There were no injuries, Nedder added.

She pleaded not guilty at her arraignment in Dedham District Court Aug. 9, and is due back there for a pretrial hearing Sept. 10, Nedder said.
