Norfolk County RSVP Volunteer Program is recruiting volunteers to work at a wildlife art gallery located just south of Boston. Duties include welcoming visitors to the gallery and providing basic information to visitors. Volunteer must have good communication skills, a professional appearance, and the ability to work independently. Minimum time commitment is one 2-hour period per week in the afternoon between Tuesday and Friday. Volunteers are asked to make an initial 6-month commitment.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to help protect our natural resources in Massachusetts,” said Acting RSVP Director Jean McLeish. “The Visual Arts Gallery has exhibits and educational programs by internationally recognized artists that appeal to adults as well as educational programs for children. It's an exciting opportunity to be a part of the ‘green’ movement through a program that works to protect our environment and the wildlife it supports.”

Norfolk County RSVP is sponsored by the Norfolk County Commissioners and is affiliated with the Federal Corporation for National and Community Service, one of the nation's largest volunteer agencies. RSVP helps recruit and place volunteers who are 55+ years of age in service positions throughout Norfolk County. Programs include Elementary School Reading & Tutoring, Meals on Wheels, Friendly Visitor, Adult Literacy/GED Preparation Tutoring, and other volunteer efforts intended to help meet community needs.
