Dedham High School students have greatly improved their Advanced Placement test scores in recent years, but a representative from Massachusetts Math and Science Initiative wants to see Dedham do even better.
Morton Orlov, president of MMSI, told School Committee members at its Wednesday meeting on Oct. 5, that since Dedham has been a part of the program the test scores have soared. He also said enrollment in advanced placement classes, which contain college level work for high school students, has more than doubled.
School Committee memebers expressed excitement with continuing with the program.
“It’s not just the most advanced students that can find success; it’s the other students that can succeed of they give it a try,” said School Committee member Thomas Ryan.
