A man was shot in the area of River Street and Whiting Avenue on Tuesday, Nov. 27, according to Dedham police.
The victim, who received only minor injuries, was in his vehicle traveling on River Street at 9:50 p.m. when another car crossed the double yellow lines, pulled up next to his vehicle and fired several rounds into it, police said in a statement released on Wednesday morning.
The victim could only describe the suspect's vehicle as a white sports car, possibly a Mitsubishi, according to police. The victim added that the vehicle continued up River Street toward Oakdale Square, police said.
Police are categorizing this event as an "isolated incident," according to the statement.
