Dedham Day and the Dedham Green Fair has been reschedueld for Sunday, Oct. 14.
The main attraction – Juliette the cow – will once again play the pivotal role in the annual cow flap raffle. In a field divided into 3,000 one-yard squares, the first four to be “fertilized” by Juliette will win cash prizes.
Deeds will be sold to the one-yard plots for $10; first place winner gets $5,000, second place is $2,500, third place wins $1,000 and fourth place gets $500.
In addition to the cow flap raffle, Dedham’s Green Fair will take place, featuring vendors with cutter edge environmental technology as well as fun, kid-friendly crafts.
Expected vendors include: Whole Foods, Next Step Living, RevoluSun, Green City Growers, Mass Audubon, MIT Solar Car, FireSeed Arts, Earth Frendz, Earth Our Only Home Green Walls and Roofs and Northern Green Wind Turbine.
Juliette begins her business at 1 p.m. If by 3:30 not enough plots have been fertilized, a drawing will be held.
There will be a barbecue, games, rides, crafts, shows and music. The event is family friendly.
