Needham Bank, a customer-owned bank with a branch in Dedham, proudly announces that its annual "Stockings of Joy" campaign ended with great success this year.

Customers and non-customers alike visited the Bank's five branches in Needham, Dedham, Wellesley, Westwood and Medfield to pick up empty stockings which they returned generously filled with gifts. In addition to 115 stockings, a large bag of stuffed animals was collected by the Bank; all will be distributed by Riverside Community Care to those in need of a thoughtful gift during the holidays.

Headquartered in Dedham, Riverside Community Care is a nonprofit healthcare and human services organization that provides help to more than 15,000 children and adults in Massachusetts every year.

“Every year we are astounded by the generosity of the Bank's customers,” said Karen Goldenberg, Associate Director of Community Relations for Riverside Community Care.  “The stockings they fill truly bring joy to many, many people who would otherwise have little to celebrate around the holidays.  We are so thankful to Needham Bank for organizing this project.”

“It was our privilege and pleasure to once again serve as host for the “Stockings for Joy” program,” said John McGeorge, President of Needham Bank.  “We hope the season has been made a bit brighter for many families served by Riverside Community Care as a result.”
