DEDHAM —

A Hyde Park man robbed the Dedham Best Buy at gunpoint last night, making off with nearly $15,000 in cash and checks, police say.

Marcus L. Cella, 19, showed up at the Best Buy waving a .22-caliber handgun as a store manager was about to set the alarm shortly after 10 p.m. last night, police say. Cella pulled the manager inside a store office, where he forced him to open a safe while holding his gun to the manager’s back, according to police.

According to police, Cella, of 162 Margaretta Drive in Hyde Park, took off on foot through the Best Buy parking lot toward BJ’s. He was caught by police near the Tahiti Restaurant off Providence Highway, police say.
