Police said they arrested Ian Connelly, 27, of 129 Washington St. in Westwood, on charges of driving under the influence on Valentine’s Day. Police said Connelly was driving a red 2007 Honda.
Police responded to Bridge Street by the Hess gas station at about 5:25 p.m. after a caller reported that a driver, later identified as Connelly, had been driving erratically, said Lt. Robert Nedder.
As Officer Richard Cawley asked Connelly questions, he noticed that he was swaying back and forth and that his breath smelled of alcohol, and Connelly admitted to drinking alcohol, said Lt. Robert Nedder.
Connelly pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Dedham District Court Feb. 16, and is due back there for a pretrial hearing March 1, Nedder said.
