Man arrested after backing into cruiser
DEDHAM - A Dedham man was arrested 7:27 p.m. Thursday after he allegedly backed into an unmarked police cruiser when leaving the Tahiti Restaurant parking lot.
After failing sobriety tests, Andrew Caraber Jr., 61, of 1000 Presidents Way, Apt. 1137, was charged with his second offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Police nab two on drug charges
DEDHAM - Boston police arrested two men Thursday evening after Norfolk County Anti-crime Task Force detectives allegedly saw them make a drug deal in the Best Buy parking lot, Police Spokesman Lt. Robert Nedder said.
When he was pulled over by police on Providence Highway, George Daher, 29, of 81 Pinewood Ave. in Stoughton, gave the police a plastic bag containing three percocet pills and told them that the driver of a VolksWagon Jetta sold him the pills, police said. Daher was charged with conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws and possession of a class B substance.
Vasilios Soilemezoglou, 23, of 120 Walworth St. in Roslindale was then arrested in the Best Buy parking lot and charged him with conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws, distribution of a class B substance and carrying a dangerous weapon, after police found a switchblade in his Jetta, Nedder said.
Police take in man on warrants
WALPOLE - An Abington man was arrested by Walpole Police at 10:22 a.m. Thursday on two warrants for allegedly violating restraining orders from the Dedham District Court, police said.
William Delger, 30, of 100 Lincoln Blvd., Apt. 5, was arrested at 85 Massachusetts Ave., Apt. B, in Walpole where a Dedham District Court probation officer informed police he was staying.
