Man accused of indecent assault

NORWOOD - Following an investigation, police said they have arrested Thomas J. MacKenzie, 54, 41 Centennial Drive, No. 12, Norwood, and charged him with three counts indecent assault and battery on a boy under age 14.

Police spokesman Paul Bishop said the investigation, included interviews with McKenzie and the boy's parents.

"We determined there was probable cause to arrest Mr. MacKenzie," said Bishop, saying MacKenzie is known to the family.

 

Pair arrested on drug charges

NORWOOD - Police received a call Wednesday at 3:27 p.m. from Universal Technical Institute, 1 Upland Road, about a suspicious car.

As a result, police arrested Jarred Thomas Holden, 19, 29 Dogwood Lane, Cotuit, and Harold Lacroix, 19, 37 Smith Road, Randolph. They charged both with possessing Class D drugs with intent to distribute and possessing drugs near a school.

 

Man charged with violating order

NORWOOD - A caller Thursday at 10:05 p.m. reported a possible retraining-order violation.

Police said they arrested Brian Mathew Barron, 35, of 43 Tata Terrace, Bourne. He was charged with violating an abuse-prevention order.
