Restroom stop leads to warrant arrest

DEDHAM - A Boston man was arrested at 11:55 a.m. yesterday when he walked into the police station on High Street to use the restroom, police said.

After using the bathroom, Stephen Hodges, 47, of 35 Myrtle St., showed an officer a probation violation hearing notice he had received and asked if there were any warrants for his arrest, said Police Spokesman Lt. Robert Nedder.

Hodges was then arrested on two warrants: one from Dorchester District Court for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding, and one from Somerville District Court for shoplifting and giving a false name to police.
