Police said they arrested Ruslan Magomedova, 35, of Ware Street on charges of malicious destruction of property over $250 and domestic assault after he attacked a staircase and banister when a relative told him to leave her house for the evening.
After police received a 911 hang-up call on the night of Tuesday, Dec. 8, a dispatcher called back and could hear yelling and screaming at the Ware Street house, which has “an extensive history,” said Lt. Robert Nedder. Police went to the residence at 11:22 p.m., hearing more yelling as they arrived, Nedder said.
After police separated the three people involved, the owner explained that Magomedova has a drug problem, and that she wanted him and his fiancée to leave for the evening, but he reacted by threatening her and by damaging the staircase and banister, according to Nedder.
Magomedova pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Dec. 9, in Dedham District Court, and is due back there for a pretrial hearing Jan. 28.
