Norwood lawyer named to Neponset Valley Philharmonic Board

Leslie Lockard has been named to the Board of Directors of the new Neponset Valley Philharmonic Orchestra. As a Member at Large, she will assist with fundraising and audience development. The orchestra’s first concert is scheduled for October at Sharon High School.

Lockard has specialized in employment law for more than 20 years, providing both employment law advice and representation in lawsuits. After many years as a partner at a Boston law firm, she began her own practice, the Law Office of Leslie Lockard, P.C. on Route 1 in Norwood.

Former Chairman of the Board of the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce, she belongs to the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers' Association, Women’s Bar Association Legislative Policy Committee, Sloan Work and Family Research Network, Attleboro Martin Luther King Committee and Canton Association of Industries. She also is active in the Walpole Town Committee and political campaigns.

Lockard, a Walpole resident, is delighted to serve on the Board of Directors of the Neponset Valley Philharmonic Orchestra to help bring the joy of their performances to as many people as possible. With an undergraduate degree was in music, she was a singer before becoming an attorney and is a great lover of symphonic music and opera. Among her happiest childhood memories are listening to Metropolitan Opera radio broadcasts with her father.
