First Baptist Church in Norwood will celebrate 150 years in the community during the week of Nov. 2 through Nov. 9.
On Sunday morning, Nov. 2, the Rev. Dr. Victor Scalise Jr. will be the guest speaker at the 10:30 a.m. service. Dr. Scalise was an interim minister at First Baptist Church from October 1982 to June 1985. He is currently pastor at the Somerville Baptist Church.
On Sunday, Nov. 9, there will be a Service of Worship at 10:30 a.m. At 4 p.m., there will be a program of music featuring the William Chorale.
The chorale was established in the spring of 1993 and is a 25-voice choral group from the Attleboro area. Its performances include works from classical to spiritual to popular standards.
Ann Fleck, director of music at First Baptist Church, will also provide selections on the marimba.
Following the program, a collation will be served in the Parish House.
