Special Town Meeting gave the Avery School and Dedham High School athletic complex projects key votes of support, upped Dedham’s meals and hotel taxes and voted to move the town’s adult zoning to Legacy Place this week.

Patrick calls out legislature for leaving Hill amid 'crisis'

A frustrated Gov. Deval Patrick demanded Thursday that lawmakers return to Beacon Hill to complete work on sweeping education and sentencing proposals, and to further address the state's fiscal woes.

Boston Celtics players were out last night for “The Truth Strikes Again,” celebrity bowling tournament at Kings Dedham. The fundraiser was for Celtics Captain Paul Pierce’s Truth on Health Campaign and FitClub34 by Harvard Pilgrim, which is designed to empower and inspire young people to lead healthier lifestyles.

The Governor’s Council on Wednesday signed off on four of Gov. Deval Patrick’s picks to the Parole Board. Two of the nominees are reappointments: Pamela Lombardini has been on the board since January 2007, and Thomas Merigan has served since 2003.
