Greg Hart’s family is planning to hold a vigil in Providence Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. at the spot his body was found in the Woonasquatucket River.

“Basically we want to light up the whole entire place for Greg. He deserves it,” his sister, Victoria Hart, said today.

The 23-year-old Dedham man was found in the river near Kinsley Street Tuesday afternoon, two and a half days after he went out with friends to a Providence bar Saturday night. Hart was last seen walking out the door of the Red Room at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday, then was missing until his body was recovered Tuesday.

Hart graduated last year from UMass-Amherst with a degree in economics, and was about to start a promising job at a local company, Meditech.

Victoria Hart said a bus might take vigil attendees to Providence so not as many people have to drive. She said those interested in going can call her family’s home, at 781-255-0088, for more information.

Tom Cirino, a former 35-year resident of Dedham who launched a Facebook page for Greg Hart on Tuesday, said he would keep the page open for condolences for as long as it remains active.
