Norwood —
The bells will ring in Norwood throughout the summer.

All concerts are rain or shine. The best listening spots are on the Town Common or in the upper parking lot behind the Town Hall off Central Street. Tours of the bell-tower are available after most concerts.

Norwood's 50-bell Memorial Carillon was cast by Gillett and Johnston, Bellfounders, Croydon, England and, together with the Norwood Memorial Building and Tower, was dedicated on Armistice Day, November 11, 1928. The instrument was a gift to his fellow townspeople from the late Walter F. Tilton, a prominent local banker and civic leader.

The Carillon Concert Series is sponsored by the Town of Norwood and by a special gift from the Norwood Women's Community Committee, and by private donations to the Town’s Carillon Fund.

Most concerts are Monday evenings, from 7 to 8 p.m:
June 30, Ulla Laage, Haslev, Denmark

July 4, Margaret Angelini, Wellesley College, and Lee B. Leach, Norwood, (3 p.m. concert and tour)

July 7, Anne Kroeze, Emmeloord, the Netherlands

July 14, George Matthew, Jr., Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont

July 21, Claire Halpert, Cambridge, Mass.
July 28, David M. Maker, Trinity College, Hartford, Conn.
Aug. 4, Andrea McCrady, Spokane, Wash.
Aug. 11, Lee B. Leach, Norwood
Aug. 18, John E. Courter, Berea College, Berea, Kentucky
