The Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole held its graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 4, at 6 p.m.
Class members marched to the stage to the strains of “Pomp and Circumstance.” Greetings to those in attendance were extended by Jessica Schneider, salutatorian, from Hanson. Congratulations to the Class of 2009 were presented by Harold Cohen, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, from Foxboro.
Valedictory remarks were delivered by Courtney E. Buchanan from Wrentham. Joshua M. Kunz, the class president, from Blackstone spoke about high school remembrances.
Anne M. Fuller, class vice-president, of Foxboro, Jacqueline L. Skinner, treasurer, of East Bridgewater, and Megan E. Riley, secretary, of Quincy, presented the class gift.
The musical selection “There You’ll Be” by Faith Hill was performed by Jaclyn R. Gatti of Weymouth. Michael E. McFarland, superintendent-director, introduced guests and presenters.
The presentation of awards and scholarships were made by David F. Lehto, trustee, of Walpole, and Edwin S. Little, trustee, of Sharon.
The Certificate of Graduation was given by Suzanne M. Green, principal. Diplomas were presented by Peter H. Collins, trustee, of Milton, and Daniel J. Harrington, trustee, of Norwood.
Immediately following ceremony there was a reception for the families and friends of the class members.
The graduates included Daniel Edward Clarke, of Norwood; Annabelle Elizabeth Costa, of Dedham; Dusty Rose Durant, of Norwood; Myles Carleton Geishecker, of Walpole; Craig Joseph Guittarr, of Dedham; Shane Joseph Hurley, of Norwood; Jennifer Ashley Lewis, of Walpole; Brianna Carole Shedd, of Walpole; Gregory David Silvia, of Walpole; and Kammy Marie Taylor, of Norwood.
