Editor, Andrea Salisbury
Dedham Transcript Editor Andrea Salisbury is often seen around Dedham talking with residents and enjoying a cup of coffee from Mocha Java. After graduating from Mansfield High School, Andrea went north to the Berkshires for college, earning her bachelor’s degree in English from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Wanting to fine tune her journalism skills and sample what her grandmother calls “real barbecue,” Andrea headed south to Virginia Beach. Between mornings at the beach and pulled pork sandwiches, Andrea earned her master’s degree in journalism from Regent University. Wanting to experience seasons again, Andrea headed back to Massachusetts, where she started work as the night editor at the Daily News Tribune. She started covering Dedham in 2009 with the launch of the Dedham Transcript. When she’s not working, Andrea and her fiancé, Mike Calvin, hike Blue Hills or Wilson Mountain. She fancies herself an amateur cook and is working to perfect her eggplant parmesan.
