Carolyn A. Burton, daughter of Daniel and Kathleen Burton of Norwood, and Stephen F. Harer, son/stepson of Lorraine and Richard Merrill of Tewksbury, were married on July 8, 2007, at the Church of Saint William in Tewksbury.
The reception was held at the Tewksbury Country Club.
The bride is a graduate of Norwood High School and Providence College with a bachelor of arts degree in English and sociology. She is employed by Ametek Aerospace and Defense as a compensation and benefits analyst.
The groom is a graduate of Matignon High School and has earned an associate’s degree in business management and an associate’s degree in fire science. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in fire science at Salem State College and is employed as a firefighter/paramedic for the Lynn Fire Department.
Following a honeymoon to the Hawaiian islands of Oahu, Kauai and Maui, the couple now resides in Lynn.
