Framingham State College’s economics and business development department will honor a Bose Corporation executive during its annual award ceremony next week.
Rob Ramrath, Bose Corporation’s chief information officer, will be given the department’s "Businessman of the Year Award,” and will be a guest speaker, according to Abdul Momen, with the school’s economics & Business Administration department.
Educated as a mechanical engineer with a BSME, Romrath has worked for Bose for 17 years. According to the college, he led the company from paper-based drafting and design methods to automated computer-aided design technologies.
Awards will also be given to students, including members of the school's marketing and business leadership clubs on campus. The ceremony is scheduled for April 15 at 7 p.m. at the college center forum.
