STATE PRIMARY: Unofficial results in Dedham

There were 1,273 Democratic ballots cast in Dedham, 390 Republican ballots and one Green-Rainbow ballot cast. That is a total of 1,664 out of 17,334 registered voters in Dedham, or 9.6 percent.

On the Democratic side, Brian Clinton bested his competitors in the race for Governor's Council with 540 votes, almost twice the 275 votes his nearest opponent Robert Jubinville received. Jubinville won the race overall.

Republican U.S. Representative hopeful Joe Selvaggi beat out Matias Temperley with 226 votes to 78 in Dedham. Selvaggi won the day statewide, as well.

Big winners in Dedham were U.S. Representative Stephen Lynch and Massachusetts Representative Paul McMurtry, who both got just over 1,000 votes in Dedham.

State Senator Michael Rush got 961 votes, Clerk of Courts Walter Timilty, Jr. received 904 votes and Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren got 901 votes. 

Republican U.S. Senator Scott Brown received the most Republican votes with 364.
