Waltham —

Endicott College has announced that LAUREN GARVEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Garvey of WALTHAM, has made the dean's list for both semesters in her freshmen year. She is majoring in liberal studies.

Pappas receives scholarship

KASSANDRA PAPPAS, granddaughter of Helen Pappas of WALTHAM and the late James Pappas, and of Jean and Richard De Gouff of WALTHAM, was awarded the Eileen Pernokas Memorial Scholarship as well as the Philoptochos Scholarship through the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church. She is a graduate of Woburn High School, where she graduated summa cum laude. She will be attending Merrimack College in the fall with a major in Business Management. She is also the daughter of Jean (Sauro) and Peter Pappas of WOBURN.

Local graduate from Xaverian

Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood announces the following local residents who graduated on May 18:

ROBERT CHIACCHIO, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Chiacchio of WALTHAM, a varsity athlete on the golf and track and field teams and will attend the University of Connecticut in the fall.

RYAN MARSTON, son of Ms. Jane Marston of WALTHAM, will attend the University of Connecticut in the fall.

MARK LOMBARDO, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lombardo of WALTHAM, a varsity athlete on the lacrosse team, will attend UMass Amherst in the fall.

Blakely takes second place

CHRISTOPHER BLAKELY, son of Donald and Sharon Blakely of WEST NEWTON, received second place in the 2003 State Championship Finals Tournament in Novice Reading held in Pembroke. Chris is on the Forensic team at Catholic Memorial High School and will be a sophomore in the fall.

Hattis on Tufts dean's list

VALERIE HATTIS of NEWTON was named to the dean's list for the fall 2002 semester at Tufts University.

Emory dean's list

Forbes on RPI dean's list

JASON FORBES of WALTHAM was named to the fall 2002 semester deans list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y. He is a junior majoring in information technology.

Centofanti makes BC dean's list

Roblee nets awards

CHRISTOPHER ROBLEE of WALTHAM, was recently honored at Union College's Prize Day, an annual celebration recognizing outstanding students at Union. He is a 1999 graduate of Cambridge school and is a member of the class of 2003 with a computer engineering major.

Roblee received the Ingvar V. Ingvarsson Prize, the Tau Beta Pi Award and the Donald C. Loughry-Hewlett Packard Prize. The Ingvar V. Ingvarsson Prize recognizes a senior of high scholastic standing in electrical engineering. The Tau Beta Pi Award is awarded to juniors and seniors who have achieved outstanding records in engineering studies and have demonstrated excellence of character. The Donald C. Loughry-Hewlett Packard Prize is awarded to the student who has produced the best senior project in electrical engineering.

Bridgewater State commencement
