The developers of Westwood Station have paid millions of dollars for consultants - attorneys, engineers and public relations specialists - whose job it is to advise the town on the $1.5 billion retail, residential, hotel and office complex.

Winchester native finds ideal movie settings in hometown

Winchester, MA —

While Winchester residents went about their daily business, a small crew of filmmakers appeared in town to begin shooting scenes for “Heartbreaker.”

The small, Indy-film is about a man who gets his heart broken by a young woman and enlists the services of the heartbreaker — a specialist in making women fall in love with him before crushing their hearts — in the hope of regaining the love of his life.

Acton sculptor shows work at Tower Hill Botanic Garden

Trained in music and theater, Arlene Fins discovered a new vocation as a sculptor at the beach in 2002 by shaping a young girl's figure in the sand. Now, 7 years later, the Acton artist works from her own studio, won an award for a bronze sculpture of a woman soldier and will be showing new work at the Tower Hill Botanic Garden.

The Fiddlehead Theatre in Norwood was twice honored at the 11th annual Independent Reviewers of New England awards Monday night in Boston, an event that also honored the late actor Phillip Patrone of Quincy.
